Winfield Vikings -- We’re thrilled to kick off another fantastic school year with you. Here’s what you need to know:
- Wednesday, August 13th: It’s a special day for our 6th and 9th graders! They will have a half day to help them transition smoothly into their new school environments.
- Thursday, August 14th: This marks the official first day of school for all students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Get ready for an exciting year of learning and growth!
A Special Welcome from WPD
As you embark on this new journey, don’t forget to say “Hi” to our friendly officers. They’re looking forward to meeting each of you and helping start your school year with positivity and support. We are pleased to announce that local officers from the Winfield Police Department (WPD) will be present at each school location. They’ll be there on both the 13th and 14th to extend warm greetings and wish you all a wonderful year ahead.

We’re excited to roll out a new tool that will simplify how we communicate with you. Rooms, built right into our Winfield USD 465 app and website, offers secure and safe two-way messaging. This addition allows USD 465 to bring the community closer together. From messages to educators, to events, to lunch menus, and more - everything can now live in one place.
Why Rooms?

FFA members do not need to purchase a chapter shirt — it is included in their dues this year. However, if they would like to order a hoodie or sweatshirt, those will need to be purchased separately.

Tuesday, August 12th, we will be having a Cowley Information Night!! Representatives from Cowley College will be here in the Winfield High School Library to meet with parents and students taking Fall dual-enrollment classes at Cowley. Cowley reps will go over how to access classes on blackboard, drop and add classes, pay fees, order textbooks and supplies, complete FERPA access, get Cowley student ID cards, and lots more. This will take place from 6:00-7:00 in the library. Please enter at the library doors. Counselors strongly encourage parents and students to attend!! We hope to see you there!!
